and “Skiing Magazine’s” "Golden Eagle
Award" for the most ecologically advanced ski areas.
Skiing (NSAA), is the first sport to adopt an "Environmental
Charter for Sustainability" through a partnership with
the EPA. Time Magazine's "Earth Day 2000" issue
on "How to Save the Planet" gave us the comprehensive
truth about the critical state of our planet. Thanks to Jim
Jeffords, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Environment,”
Olympians, Tribal ecologists, and ski resorts, we are beginning
to work in partnership to solve America’s environmental
challenges.
