Earth in Unity!

Thanks to the Native Americans returning to their “Shining Mountains," mainstream America is remembering our ancient sustainable ways. Given America's world influence and wealth, it is incumbent upon us to work in
unity with Indigenous Peoples and Green Countries around the world who are often doing more than we are to take responsibility for our environmental challenges. For example, following Europeans in adopting
lower milage cars, conserving energy and preventing acid rain through turning off our lights and appliances... and the Indigenous way of taking or buying only what we need, not want, and feel more fulfilled about leaving the rest for the children.

Following the 9/11 tragedy, Americans have been reconnected to our deeper, more gratifying values of compassion, sharing and thinking about the sustainable future of our children - values that Indigenous People
and 40 Earth Charter countries say are critical for an abundant future. The Earth Charter has the words, but it is primal chanting, drumming, blessing of the Nature spirits, the Friendship Dances, and the flying like eagles on skis together, that strikes the deepest chord. This Olympic year is that steller opportunity to bring the tribes of the world full circle, to mend the hoop of life!
